Reclaiming Your Body

Reclaiming Your Body

Reclaiming Your Body is a workshop for individuals seeking to rebuild an empowered and accepting relationship with their body and all it has to offer. We are taught from such a young age to reject parts of our body through some pretty obvious, and sometimes not so obvious, messaging. We experience trauma, shame, and guilt that impact how we experience our bodies and that can leave us feeling lost, confused, and out of control. This workshop is for the individual seeking to understand better the body they have and find confidence in its uniqueness.

Here is a snapshot of some topics we will cover in this 6-week in-person workshop…

  • Addressing cultural messaging and stigma

  • Exploring the impacts of religious trauma, guilt, shame, and abuse

  • Understanding the impacts of trauma on the nervous system and the relationship with your body

  • Introduction to pelvic floor anatomy and dysfunction

  • Accurate and inclusive education related to sexual wellness and functioning.

  • Learn techniques and skills to build a personal relationship with your body and all its potential.

  • And so much more!!

Burnout: Getting to Know Your Stress Cycle

Burnout: Getting to Know Your Stress Cycle

Let’s be real, we live in a world that all but encourages burnout. Make sure you practice self-care, but don’t stop being productive, right? What even is self-care?? We love to tell people how much they need it, but are we helping them figure out how to do it? Self-care requires a village!

That is exactly what this group is about. Bringing together individuals who feel alone, lost, and just burned out. I’ve been there, I can live there if I let myself. I want realistic solutions as much as you do, and what better way to find them than by building our own tribe to relate, connect, and support one another. By finding what works for us as individuals, we can truly get to know our stress cycle and how to manage it. We will be using the bestselling book and workbook Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle by Emily & Amelia Nagoski. You may know the name from Come As You Are (a personal favorite and common recommendation of mine!)

The group will consist of six weekly virtual 1.5-hour sessions beginning on Tuesday, August 8th.

The cost is $40 per group session.
