My name is Bella and I am a licensed social worker who works with adults, both individually and as a relationship, navigating anxiety, trauma, relational struggles, and the aftermath of abuse. My desire to work in this field and with this population comes from personal experience. I know how hard it is to rebuild a life you value after something has broken your trust in others, in yourself, or in the future. I also know it is possible, and you don’t have to do it alone. My experience shapes the empathy and respect I bring to every client.
Many of the people I see have spent a long time in survival mode, living by someone else’s rules because that’s what kept them safe. During this time, you can lose touch with your own desires and values. Oftentimes, finding your way back to yourself can be the hardest part of moving forward. You may find yourself asking “how did I not see this?” or “how did I let this happen?” Together, we’ll rebuild trust in your own judgement and worth, rediscover and reconnect to what matters most to you, and strengthen your support systems.
Relationships can be a source of safety and, at times, pain. In couples work, I use Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) to help partners understand the patterns that keep them stuck and leave both people feeling alone. Underneath those patterns are moments of missed connection and attempts to access relational safety, that unfortunately come across as criticism or stonewalling. We’ll slow things down, name what’s really happening, and build a more secure, trusting connection. I also support couples working through the effects of past trauma on emotional and sexual intimacy, including rebuilding comfort and trust in your body, at a pace that feels safe for both partners.
My work is trauma-informed, collaborative, and paced around you. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you.
I welcome adults 18 and older.
